National Indian Youth Council
We are redesigning our website to improve our services.

Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, the National Indian Youth Council, Inc. (NIYC) focused on Indian civil rights. The organization has been acknowledged as the first independent Native student organization.  We have worked to deliver the rights of self-determination, advocated for the protection of sovereignty, and fought to improve economic opportunity with our Workforce Development program.

Today, the primary focus of our operations centers on the services of our workforce development program called the Native Professional Advancement Center (NPAC), made possible by a grant from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and the U.S. Department of Labor.

Our mission is to empower Indigenous People to exercise self-determination and self-sufficiency for community wellbeing.

All our offices are open Monday – Friday,  9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
